An angry, frustrated Virginia mom has shared some horrifying video footage of her 12-year-old son being strangled by an older teen girl on a school bus.
On Monday, Taylor Brock, a mother, posted a one-minute video showing her son being hit and grabbed by the mouth by a girl who then begins to choke him. The incident took place between two seventh-grade students, with the boy reportedly at a disadvantage due to the girl’s 60-pound weight advantage, and both are students at Whitman Middle School, the UK’s Daily Mail reported.
“My son came home crying, and I saw the marks on his neck. It breaks my heart that there are all these kids on the bus and not one decided to stand up,” she told local media.
The outlet noted further:
Now Brock says that a protective order she had issued by a Fairfax County judge against the girl following the attack is being ignored by teachers as her son regularly encounters his tormentor in school.
Prior to January’s incident, Brock said that her son has been subjected to bullying from the girl before and that she even stole from him. The only reprimand that the girl is faced with on the bus comes when the driver announces that children are not allowed to switch seats.

According to Brock, her son’s two friends who were present on the bus during the incident were too afraid to come forward due to fear of being bullied. She also revealed that the parents of the students involved were not notified of the altercation. Although the girl involved was instructed to use a different hallway after being suspended, Brock reported that her son still sees the girl and is required to share his lunch hour with her.
“This isn’t something that’s going away for him,” the mother wrote in her blog. “She gets suspended and goes back to school. It doesn’t seem like a fair trade. My son is still not protected. If other children are coming forward and they don’t have video, then there’s no hope for them because I have video and still nothing.”
Brock stated that even the judge who issued the restraining order was perplexed as to why the perpetrator had not been expelled from school. She also shared photographs of the severe red marks on her son’s neck as a result of being choked.
In an interview with WJLA, Brock reported that she immediately went to the school and showed officials the video and the marks on her son’s neck as soon as she saw the footage. Following this, the concerned mother rushed to the police station to file charges.
“All of this evidence, and still, only suspension. Still putting someone who harmed my child in the same vicinity and not abiding by the protection order or anything I’ve put in place,” Brock noted. “The example that you’re setting for other students that see her come back after strangling somebody. Also, what justice is that for my son? He gets traumatized for life and she gets suspension? She should be expelled.”
Brock, who is originally from Colorado, said hers is a military family and that they have only been in the area for about a year. She also said she moved her son to a different school and that he is seeking therapy over the incident.
Interestingly, no one seems to be noticing that the bully is a black female and the victim a much smaller white male; were this situation reversed, you can bet your last dollar that it would be held up as “another example of systemic white racism.”
The more our society empowers us to treat each other differently based on race, the more racism there will be. Shame on the cowards in this Fairfax County school district who refuse to do what they know should be done.
