Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic Party’s vice presidential nominee, has been accused of sexually assaulting one of his students in 1995.
The accusations originate from tips provided to an individual who goes by the handle Black Insurrectionist, who regularly posts on X, formerly Twitter, under the username @DocNetYoutube.
According to the accusations, in Walz’s last year of teaching in Alliance, Nebraska, right before he and his wife moved to Minnesota, the high school teacher brought a 14-year-old male student to a concert.
During the concert, the individual – who has yet to reveal his identity but would be 42 or 43 now – noted that he became “extremely tired,” possibly as a result of some kind of drug being put in his alcohol. While in this intoxicated state, the individual claims that Walz groped him.
After the concert, Walz brought the boy to a gay bar, where his recollection of the night started becoming very fuzzy. The next thing he remembered, he was naked in Walz’s home and he was being sexually assaulted by him. (Related: Polls and pollsters all agree that J.D. Vance is more likable than Tim Walz.)
The boy slept over at the Walz residence and the next morning, both Walz and his wife “acted like nothing happened at all” and even gave the boy breakfast. The individual accusing Walz further claimed that Walz drove him home and told him lies about serving in the military and said he was bisexual.
In a follow-up statement given to Black Insurrectionist three days later, the individual who made the first accusation against Walz made it clear that “I was not the only victim of Tim Walz.”
“I am hoping that others will come forward. I know of at least one other person who has come forward and has not received the publicity I am now receiving,” wrote the accuser, who only identified himself as being a student of Walz during his time in Alliance and as one of the students who accompanied him on his trip to China. “I know of at least two other students in the time Tim Walz spent at Nebraska that were taken to concerts and other events.”
In his statement, the individual said Walz is likely “going to retaliate against me and possibly my family.”
“He has become a powerful individual and I can tell you from experience that Tim Walz is an extremely angry individual when he is challenged on any subject or he is perceived to lose control on anything,” wrote the accuser, fully contradicting the image and branding Walz has made for himself of being a loveable and friendly Midwestern family man.
To help prove his accusation, the individual said that Walz has a raised scar on his chest, a tattoo of a Chinese symbol on his upper thigh and another scar on his left arm “that was more like a soft burn.”
To further help bring his accusations forward, the accuser is engaging with an attorney to take Walz to court.
“I will be seeking full legal remedies against Tim Walz,” wrote the individual, who said that he will be contacting the progressive journalism watchdog group Media Matters and that he will “come forward and challenge Tim Walz if that is the route that my attorney would like to go.”
“Many people will attack my claims, many will doubt my claims. Tim Walz and I know the truth,” he concluded. “Between the ages of 14-18 … Tim Walz was a part of my life. It was a relationship that was unhealthy and has affected my life in some of the worst ways possible.”
Both Walz’s campaign and the campaign of his boss, Vice President Kamala Harris, have been notified regarding the accusation against the Minnesota governor. Neither has commented.
